Sad to report that Thurl Ravenscroft passed away earlier this evening. While the name may sound odd, if you've ever eaten cereal, watched a Chistmas Special on TV, or been to Disney's Haunted Mansion, you've heard his voice. Mark Evanier [who once mentioned this site] gives us a small look at his life.

Ravenscroft also sang "You're a Mean One, Mister Grinch" for the Chuck Jones "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" soundtrack. He had one of those iconic voices that is unmistakeably classic.
