Public Service...

Hey Folks,

For those of you who weren't all that interested in the actual Big Game, IFilm has all the ads in one spot, along with the spots from previous years.

Even though this year's game was supposed to be 'family-friendly', from the halftime show to the commercials, someone still found something to be offended about.

godaddy.com, a domain registrar, decided to buy two spots and poke fun at the 'wardrobe malfunction' of last year. The ad only aired once. According to godaddy.com's President, the NFL told FOX to pull the spot. You can read his blog here.

If you'd like to see the different versions of the ad [broadcast and web-only] click here.

Whether or not the ad is funny, or makes you want to use them for your domain isn't the point. They already approved the ad and then aired it! Did they think the company was just going to ignore the fact that the ad they paid for wan't shown? Yes, there is an attractive lady in a tank top, but didn't the broadcast feature both teams' cheerleaders in and out of the commercials?

Gah.

I'm sure we'll hear more about this in the coming days.

Take care,

Mike G.
